Embellish Your Story • Magnets by Carol Roeda

Carol Roeda has been making art and selling it since the early 1980s in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Today, Carol is using a little bit of paint and a whole lot of ingenuity to transform steel and magnets into a new decorating system to help you “Embellish Your Story.” With the quick click of a magnet, her hand painted metal adornments transform refrigerators, frames, mirrors, lamps, even walls into a means of personal expression, easily changed to express the joy of every celebration, every holiday, every season, for every reason.

The possibilities are endless, which is good because Carol does not like to be idle. She creates and dreams with her hands. She's an entrepreneur, artist, designer, inventor, a got-an-idea-in-the-middle-of-the-night-maker. She loves mix and match metal, color and clay, fabrics and graphics. She has a passion for making art, a passion for telling her story and a passion for selling her wares to customers who use her art to tell their story and make their traditions to communicate their feelings and express their hope for the future. And that is truly Art for a Reason.

Vintages has carried Carol Roeda's magnets and frames since earlier this year and these have been extremely popular. Along with the magnets, we have a wide variety of metal frames, wall hangings and such to create a changeable photo montage customized with your own photographs and magnets. These magnets and frames are all made in the USA. Come on in and Embellish Your Own Story!

Carol Roeda magnets are priced from $6.00 to $25.95, depending on size and complexity - most are in the $10 to $15 range. The frames are priced from $14.95 to $18.00 and wall hanging displays (which are great over stainless steel refrigerator doors) from $24.00 to $26.95.

The cute photographs of children in this post were taken by local Los Gatos photographer and artist Brenda Lucero. Along with portraits and photographs, Brenda is working on a unique series she is calling Fairy Tale Houses of Los Gatos.
